How to reboot your server

Sometimes a reboot is the quickest fix for a server that's sluggish or unresponsive. You can do it a few ways.

From WHM (if you have cPanel/WHM)

  1. Log in to WHM at https://your-server-ip:2087.
  2. Search for Graceful Server Reboot and run it — this restarts cleanly.

Via SSH

Connect over SSH and run reboot (or sudo reboot). The server drops offline for a minute or two and comes back automatically.

If the server won't respond

If you can't reach it at all, you may need a hard reboot. Open a support ticket and the BPHOST team will reboot it for you and check it comes back up cleanly.
