Getting started with your VPS or dedicated server

A VPS or dedicated server gives you more power and full control. Here's how to get going after you order one.

Your access details

We'll email you the server's IP address and root login. Keep these safe — root access controls the whole server.

Managing your server

  • With a control panel (cPanel/WHM, if included): log in at https://your-server-ip:2087 to manage sites, email and accounts in your browser.
  • Via SSH: connect with an SSH client using ssh root@your-server-ip for full command-line control.

First steps

  1. Change the root password to something strong.
  2. Apply system updates.
  3. Set up your domains and websites.
