How to enable WHOIS privacy on your domain

Every domain has public WHOIS contact details. ID Protection (WHOIS privacy) hides your name, address, email and phone from public lookups — cutting spam and protecting your privacy.

Turn on ID Protection

  1. Log in to your client area.
  2. Go to Domains → My Domains and click the domain.
  3. Find ID Protection (or Addons) and enable it.

Good to know

  • Your real details stay on file with the registry — they're just hidden from public WHOIS.
  • Availability depends on the extension. Most gTLDs (.com, .net, .org) support it; some country domains have their own privacy rules.
