What happens if an invoice is not paid

If a hosting or domain invoice goes unpaid past its due date, services can be interrupted. Here's the timeline and how to avoid it.

The usual sequence

  1. Reminders — we email you before and after the due date.
  2. Late fee — an overdue invoice may attract a small late fee.
  3. Suspension — after a grace period, the service is suspended and your site/email go offline (your data is kept safe).
  4. Termination — if it stays unpaid much longer, the service and its data may be removed.

Already suspended?

Simply pay the outstanding invoice and your service is usually reactivated automatically within a few minutes. Domains follow their own expiry timeline.
